Privacy Policy

Overview
MindHarbor is owned and operated by Luxe Vera LLC (“we”, “us”, or “our”). MindHarbor is a personal wellness companion that helps you track your daily mood, stress, and sleep, reflect through journaling, and explore guided self-care exercises. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
MindHarbor is a self-help wellness product. It is not a medical device, a diagnostic tool, or a substitute for professional care.
Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. These are used to identify you and communicate with you about your account.
Wellness information you enter. This includes your daily check-ins (mood, stress, and sleep scores, emotion tags, and notes), journal entries and any AI-generated reflections on them, and the optional onboarding self-assessments (PHQ-9 and GAD-7 style questionnaires) and goals you choose.
Usage information. We collect limited analytics events (such as which features you open or exercises you complete) to understand how the app is used and improve it.
Payment information. If you subscribe to MindHarbor Premium, payment is processed by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full card details on our servers — Stripe handles that securely.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide the features you use — saving your check-ins, journal entries, and progress.
- To generate supportive, AI-assisted reflections on your journal entries.
- To manage your account and, if applicable, your Premium subscription.
- To improve the app’s content, design, and reliability.
- To send you essential account or security messages.
What We Don’t Do With Your Data
We do not sell your personal or wellness data. We do not share your data for advertising purposes, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles or show you targeted ads.
Your journal entries and check-ins belong to your account and are kept private to you.
The Crisis-Detection Feature & Your Journal
Because journaling can involve sensitive thoughts, MindHarbor includes a safety feature that screens new journal entries for language that may indicate a crisis or risk of self-harm. Here’s how it works, in plain terms:
- Screening before AI feedback. Each entry is first checked locally for specific crisis-related keywords. If a concern is detected, you’ll be offered immediate links to crisis resources — and this happens before any AI reflection is generated.
- Limited, purposeful use. When AI reflection is used, your journal text is processed through our platform’s AI integration to generate a supportive reflection and wellness suggestion. We do not use your journal content for advertising.
- It’s a safety net, not a guarantee. This feature cannot detect every situation and is not monitored by a person in real time. If you are in danger or need urgent help, please contact emergency services or a crisis line directly — the in-app Crisis Resources page lists options.
Data Storage & Security
Your app data is stored with our platform provider, Base44, and associated with your account. Base44 states that app data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We also use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the service, but no system can be guaranteed perfectly secure.
Third-Party Services
We rely on third-party services to operate MindHarbor, including Base44 for hosting, database, authentication, and built-in AI integrations, and Stripe for subscription payments. AI features may be processed using third-party AI service providers used by our platform provider. These services operate under their own privacy and security terms. We limit processing to information needed to provide the relevant feature.
Your Rights & Choices
You can view, edit, and delete your check-ins and journal entries within the app. You can update your profile information at any time. You may cancel your Premium subscription through your billing provider. You can permanently delete your MindHarbor account and associated wellness data directly from the Profile screen. You may also contact us if you need help with an account-deletion request.
Delete Your Account
You can permanently delete your MindHarbor account from the Profile screen by selecting “Delete Account” and confirming the deletion. This removes your MindHarbor account and associated wellness data stored in the app, including check-ins, journal entries, mood tracking history, and onboarding assessment responses.
If you cannot access the app or need help with deletion, email us at mindharborapp@gmail.com from your registered account email address. Some information held by payment processors or other service providers may be retained as required for legal, accounting, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
Data Retention
We keep your wellness data for as long as your account is active so you can review your history. When you delete content or close your account, we remove the associated data from active storage in line with our standard practices.
Children’s Privacy
MindHarbor is not intended for children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email where appropriate.
Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, please contact us through the support options available in the app or via the contact information provided on our website.
